Yesterday while photographing the groomsmen getting ready for their Bell Event Centre wedding in Cincinnati, I noticed that the groomsmen actually had real ties with colors designed to match the bridesmaids outfits. It was refreshing to see that the groomsmen actually had real ties instead of clipons which are usually the norm with their rentals. I then suggested that the groomsmen try a unique wedding tie knot instead of the standard the Windsor knot. This new knot is called the Eldridge Knot and something that I’ve been wearing for about 6 months. The feedback which I received with this knot has been outstanding. With this knot here isn’t a way for me to tie this knot around my neck, take it off and then give it to each groomsman. Therefore it took me about 20 minutes to complete all of the ties.
I’ve already had 2 requests from my 2024 grooms to tie this knot on their groomsmen. I think I sense a trend coming.
Here are the groomsmen from a distance. And here are closeup shots of each knot. As you can tell all knots are different to give each guy a unique quality.
