2014 LLS Man and Woman of the year Dayton Campaign
Every year I volunteer my photography services to the Ohio’s Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). This is my third year of assisting with LLS fundraising activities. The big fundraiser which LLS does each year is a Man and Woman of the year campaign in both Dayton and Cincinnati areas. Each year the campaign recruits about a dozen candidates who attempt to raise the most money to support the mission of LLS of finding a cure for cancer. The candidates who raise the most money are then recognized as the Man and Woman of the Year recipients.Last night, the 2014 Man and Woman of the Year Gala was held at the David H. Ponitz Center at Sinclair Community College. There were over 600 guests at the gala which made it the best attended gala in the 11 years of the LLS Man and Woman campaign. More importantly, the Dayton Man and Woman of the year campaign raised an incredible $560,000 with Sonu raising over $140,000. Both are historical records for LLS.
