A Cincinnati Love Story: Nicole and Adam's Wedding Journey

Today I photographed Nicole and Adam’s St. Cecilia and Cincinnati Museum Center wedding. We had an amazing day by starting with bridal preparations at Garfield Suites. The Hayes suite offers a great view of the Cincinnati skyline including a view of Nicole’s reception venue. Also something very different about this wedding was that we had three hours in between the ceremony ending and the reception entrance.
I arrived at Garfield Suites to find Nicole and her bridesmaids brimming with excitement. The energy in the room was palpable, and I couldn’t help but smile as I documented these precious moments. Nicole’s calm and radiant demeanor set the tone for the day. Nicole, a vision in her flowing gown, embarked on her wedding day preparations at Garfield Suites, a charming hotel situated in downtown Cincinnati. Overlooking her reception venue, the Cincinnati Museum Center, it was the perfect place to begin her journey toward becoming a bride.
With Nicole’s preparations complete, it was time for the couple to exchange vows and declare their love in front of family and friends. The sacred ceremony took place at St. Cecilia Church, a historical and awe-inspiring church nestled in the heart of Cincinnati.
St. Cecilia Church, with its striking Gothic Revival architecture, stands as a testament to Cincinnati’s rich history. The church boasts intricate stained glass windows that cast colorful patterns of light across the nave. Its vaulted ceilings and ornate altar create an ambiance of reverence and solemnity, making it a cherished location for wedding ceremonies.
After the ceremony, the Nicole and Adam along with the bridal party made a stop at Spring Grove Cemetery, a serene and historic location in Cincinnati. It was the perfect place to capture intimate moments and reflect on the significance of their commitment. Spring Grove Cemetery provided a tranquil respite, allowing Nicole and Adam to savor a few quiet moments together. The lush greenery and timeless beauty of the surroundings complemented the depth of their love. It was a privilege to witness these intimate moments and capture them in photographs.
After Spring Grove Cemetery, we rode the party bus to Purple People Bride. The picturesque backdrop for these portraits was none other than the iconic Purple People’s Bridge, which spans the Ohio River and connects Kentucky to Ohio. Shooting on the Purple People’s Bridge was a delightful adventure. The bridge’s vibrant color and breathtaking views of the river made for a spectacular backdrop. As we worked together, I could sense the bond between Nicole, Adam, and their bridal party. Laughter filled the air as they created memories that would last a lifetime.
The grand finale of Nicole and Adam’s wedding day unfolded at the historic Cincinnati Museum Center. But before we delve into their reception, let’s take a moment to explore the rich history of this iconic venue.
Once known as the Cincinnati Union Terminal, the Cincinnati Museum Center was a bustling railroad station in the early 20th century. Designed in the Art Deco style, this architectural marvel served as a transportation hub, connecting passengers from across the nation.
The terminal’s grand concourse features mosaic murals that depict Cincinnati’s history, while its rotunda boasts a celestial dome adorned with 22-karat gold leaf. Today, the Cincinnati Museum Center stands as a testament to the city’s dedication to preserving its historical treasures.
Walking into the Cincinnati Museum Center felt like stepping back in time to an era of opulence and grandeur. As the couple entered the stunning Hall of Justice for their reception, the room was filled with awe-inspiring beauty. The golden ceiling and intricate architecture added a touch of magic to the evening.
